From fall colors to Polystrate trees, God’s creation is amazing
In October of 2024, Glenn & Ruby were joined by Michele and Tyler Campbell for a 10 day excursion digging fossils and on this last leg of the trip we were joined by another CSM supporter Marcia Lee.

From fall colors to polystrate fossilized trees, God’s creation is amazing. But when you experience these things with great friends, it is sure fun to be creation scientist.
On the final leg of our 10 day Excursion, Marcia from the fossil dig trip in WY and AZ joined us. We started with a kayak trip to Burgess Falls, rated in the top 10 waterfalls in the USA. It was a beautiful fall day to kayak. Even with the water really low, had to hike the last section, the waterfall was gorgeous. Plus, Glenn found a cool rock.

Next day we hiked incredible trails with cliff overlooks and swinging bridges and viewed the beautiful fall colors at Fall Creek Falls. From there we also explored the polystrate trees near Spencer TN. This was their first time to see polystrate fossil trees, some over 10 feet tall with the sediment supposedly laid down around 10,000 years per inch. That means these dead (no roots & no branches) trees had to stay standing for over 1 million years without the trees decomposing.
