There is a big hole in the ground behind my house with cool air coming out

The same lady, Barbara Delk, at our church that led us to the iron-rich streams, also told Ruby and I that she found a big hole in the ground behind her house that has cool air coming out of it. As a couple that fell in love with exploring caves shortly after getting married and moving to Arkansas in 1980, Ruby and I knew what that was, a sink hole that was connected to a cave system. Also, knowing that there were caves in her area that go for miles underground and have been found to have saber-tooth tiger bones in them and other fossilized animal bones, we were definitely interested in exploring her find.
We thought the cave opening was on her property, which is pasture land but doing creation research seems to never be that easy. She led us on a hike almost straight up the mountain behind her property. We struggled to keep up with her, she is clearly in better shape than us. When I thought about passing out or turning around, we came to a really big sinkhole. Sure enough, there was cool air coming out.
The sinkhole appeared to be a fresh collapse with vegetation rocks and overburden freshly collapsed into the earth. We came back with one of our CSM supporters, Wade Delk (Barbara’s son in law). With the help of Wade, I repelled down a slot along side the rubble pile to the point that I could see the cave tunnel. However, the rubble pile, being fresh, did not appear stable. We decided to give it some time to stabilize and return with an experienced team and equipment.
This is definitely something we want to explore again in the future. We have gotten permission from the land owner to return. Pray for wisdom as to if we should explore this cave system and when.
